Man stabbed multiple times in Kitchener, police say

One person has been transported to an out-of-region hospital following a stabbing in Kitchener, police say.

The search continues for a suspect in a Kitchener stabbing.

Waterloo Regional Police said officers were called to Victoria Street North and Frederick Street around 1:25 p.m. Sunday.

There they found an injured 49-year-old man.

Police said he was taken a hospital outside Waterloo Region.

The victim’s injuries were described as non-life-threatening.

The suspect is described as a white male, wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans and sneakers. He was last seen fleeing on foot from the area.

Police believe the victim and suspect knew each other and are treating it as an isolated incident.
