Man sent to hospital with injuries from an edged weapon

An arrest has been made after a man was sent to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries during a dispute in Waterloo.

Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service were called to a home near Wissler Road around 3 a.m. Monday. When they arrived, they found an injured man.

In an update just after 3 p.m., police said a 38-year-old Waterloo man had been arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Investigators believe the two know each other.
