Man arrested with drug and weapons charges after trespassing at Guelph mall

A Guelph man has been charged after he visited a mall he was banned from.

Guelph Police said a security guard spotted the man at Stone Road Mall on Thursday and detained him.

Officers later found suspected crystal methamphetamine and Hydromorphone, with an estimated value of almost $4,000. They also seized a digital scale which they said was contaminated with drugs, as well as $770 in cash and a can of bear spray.

The 36-year-old was charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possessing a weapon while prohibited and breaching probation.
