Dozens of tickets handed out during ‘stop and look’ campaign in Brant County

Almost 70 drivers were handed Provincial Offence Notices as police in Brant County cracked down on collision-prone intersections.

Members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police set up at 10 high-risk intersections from May 5 until May 9. During that time, 68 drivers were stopped.

Some drivers were booked for failing to stop at stop signs and red lights.

Not stopping for a stop sign carries a $110 fine and three demerit points for the driver, while failure to stop at a red light can result in a $200 to $1,000 fine and three demerit points.
