TORONTO - A web series created by and starring Kiefer Sutherland is headed to a smartphone near you.
"The Confession" stars Sutherland as a hitman who goes to a church on Christmas Eve to confess to a priest, played by John Hurt.
Bell Media says it's making the 10-part digital series available on multiple digital platforms including online, mobile and tablets.
"The Confession" premieres at theconfession.ctv.ca on Monday. It kicks off with three episodes, to be followed by two new episodes on subsequent Mondays.
The full series is also heading to Bell Mobile TV for smartphones and superphones beginning Dec. 12, and can be seen through The CTV iPad App starting Dec. 19.
Bell says that when the show debuted on Hulu.com in the United States in March, it became the Top 5 most-subscribed-to series for nearly three months.
