LOS ANGELES - Kanye West made a surprise appearance at Sunday's Emmy Awards, spoofing his bad attitude about losing award show trophies.

The rapper and Rainn Wilson of "The Office" competed in a mock version of "Don't Forget the Lyrics!" with Wayne Brady overseeing their showdown.

"Whoever loses this competition will retire from show business," Brady said, a reference to the CD-selling contest going on between West and his rival 50 Cent.

West and Wilson were asked to complete lyrics from West's new single "Stronger." The rapper went first and finished off with the line, "That's how long I've been on you."

"You picked the wrong time to speak properly," Brady joked.

Wilson took his turn and correctly rapped, "That's how long I've been on YA."

"I never win," West joked, making fun of his history of awards show tantrums, most recently after losing a week ago at the MTV Video Music Awards.
