TORONTO -- People are sharing images of empty public spaces around the world as several countries institute their own lockdown measures to fight the spread of COVID-19.
Most countries, including Canada, have instructed people to stay home and practice safe physical distancing, which has led to many normally busy areas being left virtually deserted.
However, some places, such as grocery stores, remain open and busy as people try to stock up on supplies.
