At least 59 people were killed and more than 500 wounded when a gunman opened fire on an outdoor music festival on the Las Vegas Strip, in the worst mass shooting in modern U.S. history.

The gunman fired from the 32nd floor of a Las Vegas hotel-casino, on the crowd of 22,000 at the Route 91 Harvest Festival. The crowd had little cover and no easy way to escape. The interactive map below shows the locations where the gunman opened fire, the site of the music festival, and their vantage points to each other.
