TORONTO -- Apparently, pop superstar Taylor Swift's love runs deep for Calgary twins Tegan and Sara and their latest record, "Heartthrob."
A video posted online shows Swift gushing about the disc and inviting the songsmith sisters onstage during her gig at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
The duo then performed their propulsive hit "Closer" with singing (and dancing) accompaniment from the 23-year-old country-pop megastar.
Swift ended the tune leaning on the diminutive Tegan's shoulder.
Earlier, she introduced the pair by saying she "really, really" loved their music and regarded last year's "Heartthrob" as "one of (her) favourites, all-time."
Tegan and Sara's seventh album achieved their highest-ever chart placement in the United States after opening at No. 3. It has been certified gold in Canada.
"If you've ever had your heart broken, you need to have their album," Swift can be heard saying in the video.
