No injuries reported after KISS legend Gene Simmons crashes car in Malibu

Rock legend and retired KISS bassist Gene Simmons says “all is well” after he was involved in a car crash in southern California on Tuesday afternoon, according to media reports.

The collision was reported at around 1 p.m. local time on the Pacific Coast Highway near Malibu, where he resides.

The L.A. Sheriff’s Department told NBC Los Angeles that Simmons’ SUV crashed into a parked car after careening across several lanes of traffic.

Simmons, 76, reportedly told authorities that he had passed out or fainted behind the wheel before he lost control. He was hospitalized as a precaution but is now recovering at home, according to NBC.

In a social media post to X, Simmons thanked fans for their “kind wishes,” and said “I’m completely fine. I had a slight fender bender. It happens. Especially to those of us were horrible drivers. And that’s me. All is well.”

Simmons’ wife, Canadian actor and model Shannon Tweed, told NBC Los Angeles that doctors had recently changed his medications and told him that he needs to drink more water.

NBC Los Angeles said that Simmons left a voicemail message with the news station following the crash, saying he was doing fine.
