TORONTO -- Montreal-based indie rockers Arcade Fire have collaborated with American writer-director Spike Jonze again, this time on his upcoming film "Her."

A newly released trailer for the sci-fi romance starring Joaquin Phoenix has "music by Arcade Fire" in the end credits.

Two years ago, Jonze directed the group's short film, "Scenes from the Suburbs," which was in a deluxe version of their Grammy-winning album "The Suburbs."

The band is slated to release their fourth album on Oct. 29.

"Her," starring Phoenix as a loner who falls in love with an artificial intelligence system voiced by Scarlett Johansson, will premiere at the New York Film Festival on Oct. 13.

It's Jonze's first feature since 2009's "Where the Wild Things Are."

Co-stars include Amy Adams, Rooney Mara and Olivia Wilde.
