Police seek dashcam footage in vehicle-pedestrian collision that hospitalized 2 teens

Edmonton police are looking for dashcam video after two teenagers were hit while crossing the street in a north Edmonton neighbourhood.

Police are looking for witnesses or dashcam footage related to the two 16-year-old girls who were struck by an SUV in north-central Edmonton Tuesday afternoon.

The teens were crossing 122 Avenue at 96 Street when they were hit by an SUV driven by a 62-year-old man. That intersection was shut down for the better part of the afternoon as officers investigated.

The driver remained on scene and neither alcohol nor speed are being considered factors, according to a news release from the Edmonton Police Service (EPS).

The girls were taken to hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are now asking for dashcam footage of Tuesday’s collision.
