Man who died under suspicious circumstances may have been assaulted: police

Police are investigating the death of a man in northwest Edmonton earlier this week.

Emergency crews got a report of an injured man at a home at 89 Street and 149A Avenue at 3:02 p.m. on Monday.

EMS attempted to save the life of the 28-year-old man, but he died on scene.

Police believe the man was assaulted earlier in the day and died of his injuries.

The investigation has been turned over to the Edmonton Police Service homicide unit.

An autopsy was conducted on Wednesday, but police say the cause and manner of the man’s death remains undetermined.
