Canadian electro icon deadmau5 among headliners coming to Edmonton’s first-ever Igloofest

Alison Wonderland, Disclosure and deadmau5 will headline a three-part lineup for Edmonton’s first Igloofest in March.

The Montreal-based electronic dance music festival is set to hit Ice District’s Fan Park from March 12 to14. A media release from the Oilers Entertainment Group (OEG) says Edmonton’s inaugural winter rave will blend “international stars and Canadian heavyweights.”

Alison Wonderland, an Australian music producer and DJ, will headline opening night with her signature cinematic bass sound. Her fourth studio album, Ghost World, was released at the beginning of October.

The next day, U.K.-based duo Disclosure will perform a DJ set fresh off an Igloofest Quebec appearance the week before. Disclosure came into the mainstream in 2012 with the hit song Latch featuring Sam Smith. Their 2024 song, She’s Gone, Dance On, has solidified the duo as “one of the most anticipated sets of the season,” according to the OEG.

Canada’s own Joel Zimmerman, known as electronic icon deadmau5, will round out closing night. The award-winning progressive and electro house artist is described as a “bonafide legend” and is most recognizable by his iconic mau5head. He even created his own record label, mau5trap in 2007 and sold it earlier this year.

Igloofest has been a Montreal Old Port staple since 2007. Ticket presale starts on Nov. 27 at 10 a.m. and general tickets will become available the next day at the same time. Registration for presale can be found here.
