Alcohol a factor in fatal crash northeast of Edmonton: RCMP

A 26-year-old woman is dead after a two-vehicle crash near Bonnyville, Alta., last month.

A car failed to stop and hit a pickup truck on Range Road 460, between Township Roads 604 and 610, on March 24, RCMP said.

Both drivers were taken to hospital. The driver of the truck recovered and the driver of the car succumbed to her injuries.

Alcohol was a factor in the crash, Mounties added.

“Bonnyville RCMP are not seeking to lay charges with regards to this collision,” police said in a release.
