4 houses on fire Thursday evening in northeast Edmonton

Firefighters battled blazes at four houses, including one that was occupied, Thursday night in northeast Edmonton.

Crews arrived at 7:36 p.m. to the scene in the Fraser neighbourhood, south of 153 Avenue and Fraser Vista N.W., five minutes after receiving the call.

The fire originated in a home under construction and spread to neighbouring homes, Edmonton Fire Rescue Services told CTV News Edmonton.

At least one of the other involved houses were under construction.

A second crew was called in at 7:41 p.m.

Shortly before 9 p.m., 13 units were on scene.

Although the blaze was declared under control at 11 p.m., it still was not considered fully extinguished as of 10 a.m. Friday.
