June 2023: Molly Thomas is no longer with the company

Molly Thomas is an investigative correspondent for W5, Canada's most-watched documentary series. Joining W5 in 2020 from the CTV News Ottawa Parliamentary Bureau where she was a correspondent, Thomas has also served as a news anchor and reporter for CTV News Channel and co-host for CTV MORNING LIVE REGINA.

Through her career as a reporter, videographer, correspondent, host, anchor, and producer, Thomas has worked for all three of Canada's major news networks and has had her work published in The Globe and Mail, The Toronto Star, and The Toronto Sun.

The Regina native's passion for social justice stories have taken her to Iraq, Somalia, Bangladesh, Jordan, Haiti, Rwanda, Uganda, France, and England. Her smart and curious reporting style adds a refresh to the show's proud tradition of digging deeper toward truth and commitment to journalistic excellence.

Thomas earned a Masters in Global Affairs from the Munk School of Global Affairs through the University of Toronto, and a degree in Journalism from the University of Regina.

Thomas speaks English and studied university-level French, Spanish, German, and Portuguese.

With impressive international experience as a journalist, Thomas has been recognized for multiple awards, including as a finalist for the AidEX Humanitarian & Development Journalism Award, as winner of the Bronze Telly Award, and with multiple nominations and one win from the RTDNA.
