VICTORIA -- The NDP is demanding to know whether B.C.'s Liberal government offered a tax-payer-funded job to a malcontent who was threatening to embarrass Premier Christy Clark.

Leader Adrian Dix is pointing to an email included among 10,000 pages of documents posted on the government's website.

In the email, former communications director Brian Bonney suggested a job might be offered to the unnamed person as an incentive, and suggests former cabinet minister Harry Bloy might talk to her.

It suggests Bloy should say how he will try to find her work, get her back involved and if need be, offer x dollars per month to do non-public work up to the election.

There is no indication of whether a job was ever offered, and Bonney could not be reached for comment.

Multiculturalism Minister Teresa Wat says she wasn't the minister when the email was written and any answers should come from Bonney himself, adding it is now time to move on.

The documents were released as part of an investigation into a scandal that saw Liberal staffers mix partisan activities with their government jobs.
