CHESTERFIELD INLET, Nunavut - A four-year-old girl has been killed in a dog attack in a remote community in Nunavut.
Police say the toddler from Chesterfield Inlet along the west coast of Hudson Bay was attacked this afternoon.
She was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead when she arrived.
RCMP Const. Lurene Dillon says the dog didn't belong to the girl's family.
Dillon says the dog was properly tied up at the time.
Nunavut's coroner is on the scene and police continue to investigate.
