Facebook users have also launched an open source help page, where evacuees can get more information on the fire and find lodging that's being offered by unaffected Alberta residents.

Airbnb has activated its Disaster Response Tool for those looking for a place to stay, free of charge until May 21.
Give help
The Red Cross is accepting donations on its website or by phoning 1-800-418-1111. A $5 donation can also be made by texting REDCROSS to 30333. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says the government of Canada will match all donations to the Red Cross to assist people displaced by the wildfires in Fort McMurray, Alta.
The Salvation Army is also accepting donations on its website. They will also be providing food, clothing and shelter.
The Samaritan's Purse is accepting donations through its website and will be sending a team to Fort McMurray to provide physical and emotional support once the evacuation order has been lifted.
The Wood Buffalo Food Bank, which serves Fort McMurray, is accepting donations through PayPal to provide for evacuees.
The Edmonton Humane Society has set up a fund to assist animals separated from their owners during the fires.
The Fort McMurray SPCA is working with local authorities to reunite residents with pets they were forced to leave behind and are accepting donations.
