FREDERICTON - The RCMP in northeastern New Brunswick have issued a public warning after a deadly drug was stolen from the SPCA in Dalhousie.

Police say that sometime on Sunday night or early Monday morning, one or more people broke in to the SPCA and stole two safes.

They say one of the safes contained an undisclosed amount of cash and the second contained drugs used to euthanize animals.

One of the drugs is T-61, which is an extremely lethal drug that is for veterinary use only.

Police are asking the public for any information that could help with their investigation.
