OTTAWA -- Canada is contributing another $2 million to relief efforts in Haiti in the wake of Hurricane Matthew.
This brings Canada's contributions to more than $6 million.
The government says the latest money will go to four non-governmental organizations.
The Canadian aid will help fill the need for medical care, drinking water and shelter and will help in rehabilitating agriculture and small businesses.
The hurricane struck the impoverished island 10 days ago, killing an estimated 900 people and wrecking or damaging tens of thousands of homes.
There are fears that a cholera epidemic is looming.
