Shots fired during jewelry store heist

CTV Calgary: Search for armed jewelry thieves Ina Sidhu reports on an ongoing police investigation into a Friday evening robbery where shots were fired.

Calgary police are investigating Friday evening's armed robbery of a northeast jewelry store.

Shortly before 7:00 p.m., a man and a woman entered Imperial Jewellers in the 3500 block of 32 Ave. N.E.

According to police, the two suspects were brandishing long guns and the male discharged his weapon into one of the store’s display cases.

The suspects fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of merchandise. The pair left the in a dark grey pickup truck
