Police investigate home invasion near Irricana

Nova Scotia RCMP investigation leads to arrest in the U.K. (file image).

Police are looking for two suspects in connection to a home invasion at a residence northeast of Calgary and say the incident was not random.

RCMP attended a rural residence on Wednesday at about 7:45 a.m. and say the incident happened sometime overnight.

Two people were in the basement of the home at the time and told police that two suspects fled in a black SUV.

Calgary Serious Crimes Branch and Airdrie RCMP are assisting and police say they are confident the home invasion was not random.
