Man dies following reported assault in northeast Calgary; homicide unit called in

A man’s death in northeast Calgary on Sunday is being investigated by police as suspicious.

Officers found him in medical distress while responding to an assault call in the 6300 block of Rundlehorn Drive N.E. shortly before 4 p.m.

He died in hospital.

An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.

Police are now turning to the public for help in the investigation.
