Flipped semi truck blocks traffic in southeast Calgary

Traffic at a busy southeast Calgary intersection was slowed on Wednesday after a semi truck tipped over.

The incident happened at 9 a.m. in the intersection of to 52 Street and Peigan Trail S.E., blocking one lane.

Tow trucks and clean-up crews were brought it to help right the vehicle and tidy up its spilled load.

Police say the driver suffered minor injuries but didn’t need to be taken to hospital.
