Cooler days on Saturday and Sunday, much like Friday, but the heat is set to return next week

This weekend, temperatures will be similar to what we had Friday, but the heat returns next week, particularly on Tuesday and Wednesday.

There is a system moving in from the U.S. that will deliver lots of rain to the far south of Alberta on Friday night and Saturday.

This is why we had the clouds in the city on Friday.

Much of the cloud cover will remain for Saturday.

While most of the rain should stay south of Okotoks, there is still the chance of a couple of isolated showers in Calgary on Saturday morning.

On Sunday, we should have a mix of sun and cloud in the morning and early afternoon.

By 1 p.m., we have the chance of showers and the risk of a thunderstorm.

The heat returns next week.

The temperatures will start to climb Monday, but the real heat will build in for Tuesday and Wednesday.
