Cirque du Soleil celebrates Kids Up Front Calgary’s 25th anniversary by donating 100 tickets to Echo

For a quarter-century, Kids Up Front Calgary has given children who face barriers access to live events in the city. This September, some of them will get to see the new Cirque du Soleil show Echo.

The iconic circus troupe announced Thursday that it’s donating 100 tickets to Kids Up Front Calgary for Echo, which opens Sept. 3 at Stampede Park.

Echo is about a woman named Future and her canine companion Ewai, who explore a mysterious, shape-shifting world filled with dazzling acrobatics, stunning visuals and heart-opening music.

“We are so grateful for this partnership and opportunity,” said Kids up Front Calgary executive director Lynn Steudler in a media relese.

“Cirque du Soleil is helping us create Moments That Matter—and we challenge everyone in Calgary and the surrounding area to do the same. Whether it’s by offering experiences or financial support during this milestone year, you can make a lasting impact.”

Since it launched in 2000, Kids Up Front Calgary have distributed more than 700,000 tickets to sports, arts and cultural events to children facing barriers.

Its Moments That Matter campaign celebrates this legacy and calls on community members and partners to help build even more lasting memories.

“Cirque du Soleil is honoured to celebrate this incredible milestone with Kids Up Front,” said Cirque du Soleil communications director Amélie Robitaille.

Echo is a tribute to empathy, transformation and shared possibility—values we believe in and see reflected in the incredible work of Kids Up Front.

“We look forward to hosting the incredible families they serve at this very special premiere event in 100 days!”
