Three suspects arrested in Calgary break-and-enter

Two suspects are sought by police in connection with an early morning incident in Scenic Acres.

Police say three people have been arrested in connection with a break-and-enter early Friday.

At 3:40 a.m., police were called to the 600 block of Schooner Cove N.W. in Scenic Acres for a crash.

Investigators later determined the incident was connected to a break-and-enter at a home involving a stolen vehicle.

Two of the three suspects were apprehended at the scene.

Police say, the third man broke into another home in the area, stole a vehicle and crashed into a wall.

The woman who lives next door to the home that was hit, who only wanted to be identified as Lana, said she thought someone had broken into her garage.

“I went downstairs. My dog was barking. I reluctantly opened my garage door and thankfully everything was okay.”

She said police, fire trucks and other first responders arrived a short time later.

“It’s been 28 years of me living here and I’ve never heard of something like this happening before.”

Officials say the third suspect was arrested later.

Charges are pending.
