Body of woman found in Bow River

Police taped off a large scene near the Centre Street bridge.

City police and EMS were called out about 7:45 a.m. Tuesday morning for a report of a body in the Bow River.

The body was pulled out of the river on the south bank, just east of the Centre Street Bridge.

EMS report that it is the body of an elderly woman.

The cause of death is not clear at this time.

Police are investigating.
