TORONTO - Television personality Ben Mulroney is getting married next week.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Ben Mulroney confirmed Thursday that the wedding will take place at St. Patrick's Basilica in Montreal and that the ceremony is a small, private family affair.
Mulroney, 32, proposed to Brownstein, 29, a Montreal fashion designer and stylist, during lunch last December at a popular Montreal deli.
The couple had been together for about six months when he popped the question.
Ben Mulroney is best known as the host of Canadian Idol and of CTV entertainment show etalk.
The couple had known each other while growing up in the affluent suburb of Westmount.
A Montreal weekly newspaper, The Suburban, first reported details of the ceremony in its Wednesday edition.
The last time a Mulroney was married in Montreal was when the former prime minister's daughter, Caroline, wed stockbroker Andrew Lapham in 2000.
That wedding attracted hundreds of on-lookers and more than 400 guests, including former U.S. president George Bush and his wife Barbara, former British prime minister Margaret Thatcher and talk-show host Kathy Lee Gifford.
