Woman caught damaging vehicle with golf club accused of assaulting arresting officers: SSP

Police arrested a 22-year-old woman accused of taking a golf club to a vehicle and assaulting the arresting officers in Innisfil.

South Simcoe police say officers were called to a property on Line 7 early Tuesday evening and learned a woman had confronted another while holding “a sharp barbecue tool.”

While attempting to take the woman into custody, police say she became uncooperative and started kicking the officers.

It’s unclear what started the disturbance, but ultimately, the accused, from King Township, was criminally charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, mischief, uttering threats to cause death, and two counts of assaulting peace officers.
