Stolen vehicle found abandoned and on fire in Melancthon: OPP

Provincial police in Melancthon Township are investigating after an allegedly stolen vehicle was found abandoned and engulfed in flames over the weekend.

According to the authorities, officers and Shelburne firefighters were called to 270 Sideroad for a vehicle fire Sunday around 9 p.m.

Emergency crews located the small sedan on the shoulder in flames and quickly confirmed no one was inside.

Police say the registered owner reported it stolen a short time later.
