Police investigate a death along Barrie’s waterfront.

Police are investigating a death along the waterfront in Barrie on Wednesday morning.

Officers sectioned off an area along Kempenfelt Drive with yellow police tape for the investigation.

Very few details are available at this time, but Peter Leon with Barrie Police Services confirmed to CTV News there is no threat to public safety.

The area will remain closed, Leon said “until the investigation determines otherwise.”
