A large fire in Lindsay destroyed a farmhouse overnight.

Flames ripped through the home on Elm Tree Road on Thursday at around midnight. The fire also caused a vehicle that was parked in the driveway to explode.

No one was home at the time and no injuries are reported. The fire has since been extinguished.

Damage is estimated at $300,000, but a cause is not yet known. However, investigators say foul play is not suspected.

The investigation is ongoing.
