Driver faces series of charges after multiple vehicles struck

Provincial police are investigating after a vehicle struck multiple vehicles between Orangeville and Shelburne on Wed., Oct. 1, 2025.

A 46-year-old man from Mono, Ont., is facing a slew of charges after a wild Wednesday morning drive left a trail of damaged vehicles in its wake.

Provincial police say the suspect’s vehicle was driven out of control along a stretch of road from Broadway in Orangeville to Primrose, striking multiple vehicles and sparking a significant response from officers.

Police say OPP officers tracked the heavily damaged vehicle to the intersection of Highway 10 and 89 in Mono and brought the situation to an end by blocking it in.

Images provided by the OPP show a vehicle on its side, resting against a damaged pole, with debris scattered across a section of parking lot.

The accused is charged with two counts of assault with a weapon, dangerous operation, two counts of failure to stop after an accident, and flight from a peace officer.

No injuries were reported. The reason behind the situation remains unclear.
