Driver charged after getting clocked at almost 2x the speed limit

One person is facing stunt driving charges after being caught going nearly double the speed limit.

On Sunday morning officers from South Simcoe Police stopped a vehicle on Innisfil Beach Road.

According to police, the vehicle was nabbed going 110 kilometers per hour in a 60 kilometers an hour zone.

The 25-year-old driver was charged with stunt driving and failure to surrender an insurance card.

“Road safety is a responsibility we all share and together we can help ensure every journey ends with a safe arrival,” shared South Simcoe Police on Sunday.
