County extends brush pickup as ice storm recovery continues

This weekend marks exactly four weeks since the 2025 spring ice storm and the County of Simcoe is continuing to help impacted locals by extending operations at their temporary brush drop-off sites.

In a notice on their website, the county confirmed that their brush drop-off locations in Innisfil, Midhurst and Coldwater will be extended until May 3, and that chipper trucks will continue servicing those most impacted.

The drop-off locations are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on all days except Sundays.

The county adds that further extensions are possible based on ongoing needs.

Residents are reminded that brush drop-off fees have been waived until the end of May, and that those who want their brush materials collected must place them at their curbs by May 19.
