LONDON, Ont. - The first-degree murder trial of six biker gang members and associates is hearing about internal gang tensions in the months leading up to a mass killing.

The bodies of eight men attached to the Toronto faction of the Bandidos were found stuffed into vehicles in a farmer's field in southwestern Ontario in April 2006.

The Crown's star witness, an ex-Bandido turned informant, is testifying about a struggle between the Toronto and Winnipeg chapters.

The witness, who can only be identified as M.H., says in early 2006 one of the accused, Michael Sandham, met with gang officials from the U.S.

He says it was decided that Toronto would lose its status and Winnipeg, up until then just a probationary chapter, would gain full status.

M.H. says another accused, Wayne Kellestine, was to pull the Toronto members' patches and set up a chapter in London, Ont.
