P.E.I. RCMP seize cocaine, replica pistol at Summerside home

A 50-year-old man is facing drug trafficking charges after police seized cocaine, crystal methamphetamine and a replica pistol from a Summerside, P.E.I., home this week.

The provincial joint enforcement team executed a search warrant at the home on Wednesday afternoon, according to an RCMP news release.

They seized:

• 184 hydromorphone pills
• eight ounces of cocaine
• crystal methamphetamine
• a replica pistol
• a collapsable baton
• stolen tools linked to a Summer Police Services investigation
• drug paraphernalia
• cash

Gregory Chaisson was charged with:

• possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
• possession of property obtained by crime
• possession for the purpose of trafficking hydromorphone
• possession of a prohibited weapon (baton)

Chaisson received additional drug trafficking charges in connection to an investigation on Feb. 20 when police seized:

• half a pound of cocaine
• more than two pounds of crystal meth
• 438 ice/speed pills
• 874 hydromorphone pills
• other drug-related materials

Chaisson was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Summerside provincial court on Monday.
