Halifax woman arrested in Charlottetown after police seize 427 doses of cocaine

A 31-year-old woman from Halifax was arrested in Charlottetown for possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine on Monday.

The Queens District RCMP said in a news release the arrest came after a two-month investigation.

A search of the woman’s vehicle led police to seize:

• 133 grams of cocaine powder (approximately 427 doses)
• 27 grams of crack cocaine
• 10 oxycodone tablets
• cellphones
• a Taser
• bear spray

The woman, who has not been named, will appear in provincial court at a later date.

The Prince Joint Forces Operations, RCMP Major Crime Unit and the Provincial Joint Enforcement Team assisted with the investigation.
