3 suspects sought after homeowner assaulted with baseball bat, seriously injured: N.B. RCMP

The New Brunswick RCMP says it looking for three suspects after a homeowner in Oxbow was assaulted and seriously injured.

Perth-Andover RCMP responded to a report of a home invasion and assault at a home on Highway 385 around 8:30 a.m. on April 19.

Police say three people wearing masks forced their way into the home and assaulted the homeowner with a baseball bat.

The victim was the only person inside the home at the time.

He was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say two of the suspects were men armed with the baseball bat.

They believe the third suspect was a woman carrying pepper spray.

Police say the suspects fled the scene before they arrived.

They are asking anyone with information that could help further the investigation to call them at 506-273-5000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
