Security guard slashed after confronting robbers in Dartmouth

Authorities say they are investigating online threats to kill Jewish and Muslim students at a South Carolina high school.

A security guard was slashed after he confronted two women at a business in Dartmouth early Friday.

Police say the suspects entered a business on Tacoma Drive shortly after 3:30 a.m. and attempted to steal several items.

The security guard confronted the women and a scuffle ensued.

Police say one of the suspects pulled a sharp object from her pocket and slashed the security guard. Police aren’t certain what that object was.

The suspects then fled the scene but police were able to identify them with help from witnesses at the scene.

No arrests have been made at this time.

The security officer was treated released from hospital.
