Heat warnings in effect for parts of New Brunswick

High humidex values in the Maritimes Monday Meteorologist Kalin Mitchell says humidex values are on the higher side in the Maritimes Monday, making it feel around 30 C for many areas.

Heat warnings are in effect Monday for eastern areas of New Brunswick.

Environment Canada says the region is experiencing a period of very warm and humid weather.

Maximum temperatures are expected to reach 28-to-30 C, with the humidex making it feel closer to 38 C.

The warnings say cooler conditions can be expected along parts of the coast.
