Canada has now fully vaccinated 80.09 per cent of the country's eligible population. Here’s what else you need to know to start your day.

1. Trapped underground: A rescue operation underway for 39 people stuck underground at Vale's Totten Mine in Sudbury, Ont., successfully retrieved four miners overnight, CTV News has confirmed. 

2. Paul resigns: The Green Party’s Annamie Paul announced Monday that she’s started the process of withdrawing from her role as leader, calling it “the worst period” in her life. 

3. Reconciliation projects: Canada's bishops on Monday pledged $30 million to support Indigenous reconciliation projects for residential school survivors, their families and their communities across the country.
