SAO PAULO, Brazil - Police in Brazil say two small planes have collided in flight, killing all four people aboard.

Police officer Carlos Locatelli tells the G1 news website the accident occurred Saturday morning when the planes were flying over a sugarcane field near the city of Santa Barbara D'Oeste in the state of Sao Paulo.

He says witnesses reported the two planes collided head-on and burst into flames.

Phone calls to the city's police department for more details went unanswered.
