With bad lighting and grim backdrops, police mugshots are notorious for being unflattering for their subjects. That didn’t stop one bold 18-year-old teenager from Sydney, Australia from taking her image into her own hands. Amy Sharp escaped from the Surry Hills Corrective Services Cell Complex just after 3 p.m. local time on Aug. 19. The police issued a statement to the public with a description of the fugitive teen along with two photos of her taken at the police station.

A Local TV news station, 7 News Sydney, posted the police statement and the photos to their Facebook page on Aug. 25. The next morning, Sharp commented on the post asking the media to use a different, more flattering photo of her that she provided. She ended her polite request with an angel emoji and a “yours truly”.

Sharp’s supplied photo shows her posing to the side, smiling with her hair down.

“Can you use this photo, please and thank you. Yours Truly, Amy Sharp xx,” she writes in the post.

Her Facebook comment has received more than 61,000 likes and more than 10,000 replies. Many of the people replying to Sharp’s comment have been supportive of Sharp’s request.

New South Wales police have confirmed that the escaped teenager has since been caught and she was arrested on Aug. 27 in Wentworth Park, Sydney, not far from the police station she originally ran away from. Sharp was charged with escaping lawful custody as well as an outstanding warrant. She appeared at Parramatta bail court on Saturday where she was denied bail.
