BRUSSELS - The European Union chief says international politics only needs one Donald.

Asked whether Donald Trump would become the next U.S. president, EU Council President Donald Tusk somewhat sidestepped the issue in Monday's interview with the mass circulation Bild Zeitung.

Tusk, a former Polish leader, said that "I have been with my wife for 38 years now. She says: 'One Donald is more than enough."'

Trump has been criticized by many in the 28-nation EU for his outspoken statements on anything from immigration to the state of the Belgian capital, Brussels.
