CHARLOTTE, N.C. - A 13-year-old boy who was chained to the front porch of a house in North Carolina with a dead chicken around his neck says he wants to tell his story because he says the woman who abused him didn't serve enough jail time.

He told The Associated Press that Wanda Sue Larson and her boyfriend Dorian Harper abused him for years, until police discovered him on the front porch in November 2013. Police also found four other children in the filthy home, and placed them in protective custody.

Larson and Harper were sent to prison but Larson was released in April, just nine days after pleading guilty to child abuse charges.

District Attorney Trey Robison has said he agreed to the plea deal to spare the victims from testifying.
