A zookeeper at the Australia Zoo has been injured by a 'hot and bothered' tiger, says Terri Irwin, the widow of the famous naturalist Steve Irwin.
Irwin -- who owns the park in Beerwah, about an hour north of Brisbane -- tweeted on Wednesday that it was a hot day at the facility and the tiger got agitated, scratching the zookeeper.

Queensland Ambulance Service tweeted that a male in his 40s was taken to hospital with "scratches" and a "puncture wound" after a "big-cat bite" at a wildlife park in Beerwah.

It's not the first time that a worker has been injured by a tiger at the facility.
In 2013, a tiger handler was bitten on the shoulder and neck after it became over excited during a play session.
The Australia Zoo has both Bengal and Sumatran tigers.
